Jorge Calil will be responsible for setting up a new company in Sao Paulo introducing Norel products such as butyrates, medium chain fatty acid salts, organic minerals, flavors, preservatives, fats and rumen enhancers into the Brazilian market.
Brazil exports $6.5 billion worth of beef and $5.5 billion poultry meat worldwide. New rules adopted by the USA mean that Brazilian exporters will soon be required to produce meat without using antibiotic growth promoters, and Norel expects the change will boost demand in the country for the company’s wide range of non-medicated products that promote growth and health for animals without AGPs.
