Colistin will be banned in animal feed in 2019, said Malaysia’s agriculture minister Datuk Salahuddin Ayub.

The Department of Veterinary Services will be monitoring farms and processing plants, and if the animals or animal products are found to contain antibiotic residues or other drugs, the operators’ licences will be revoked, he added.
